TRIP
OVERVIEW
Day-1
Yangon Arrival (Meals:
B)
Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport
welcome by our local guide and transfer to the
Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing starts with
Chaukhtatkyi Pagoda (a huge reclining Buddha),
Karaweik Hall, a Royal floating barge on the
Royal Lake for a photo stop and late in the
afternoon, visit the Shwedagon Pagoda
described by Somerset Maugham: "The
Shwedagon rose superb, glistening with its
gold, like a sudden hope in the dark night of
the soul of which the mystics write,
glistening against the fog and smoke of the
thriving city." This massive bell-shaped
stupa rises nearly 100 meters above its
hill-top surroundings. Wander through this
magnificent structure and its courtyards,
stupas, bells, Temples, and Buddha images, and
see religious and secular visitors from all
parts of the globe. Shwedagon has become the
symbol of Myanmar. Enjoy the sunset over the
Pagoda. Overnight in Yangon.
Day-2 Yangon-Thazi (By A.M Train) (Meals:
B)
Morning breakfast at the hotel and transfer to
Yangon Railway Station for Yangon for Thazi
day train. Arrive at Mandalay and overnight on
the train.
Day 3: Mandalay Sightseeing (Meals: B/L)
After breakfast at the hotel, sightseeing
tour inclusive of Mandalay Museum Houses a
collection of architect particularly from the
reign of the last two Myanmar kings, Zegyo
Market, a shopping centre of the people of
upper Myanmar, Mahamuni Pagoda heavily
glittered with gold leaves and the traditional
handicraft workshops of marble works and wood
carvings. Overnight stay in Mandalay.
Day 4 Mandalay – Amarapura – Inwa –
Saggaing – Mandalay (Meals:
B/L)
After breakfast at hotel, visit to
Mahagundayone monastery; U Bein wooden bridge;
silk weaving; and drive to Inwa. Bagaya
Teakwood monastery; Maha Aungmyebonzan
monastery; the hand-made workshop industry
producing lacquer alms for Monks. Proceed to
Saggaing and sightseeing is Soon U Ponya Shin
Pagoda, Kaung Hmudaw which is the copy of
Mahaceti Pagoda in Siri Lanka The beautiful
sunset can be observed from Saggaing Hill.
Come back to Mandalay. Overnight stay at hotel
in Mandalay.
Day 5: Mandalay – Bagan (Meals:
B/L)
Early morning departure by boat on the
Ayeyarwaddy River to Bagan. This downriver
trip is about 8 hours. Lunch is served on
board. On arrival, transfer to hotel. And then
Bupaya Pagoda to watch sunset over the
Ayeyarwaddy River. Dinner at restaurant and
overnight stay at hotel in Bagan.
Day 6: Bagan (Meals:
B/L)
Morning sightseeing tour of Bagan featuring
Nyaung Oo Market, Shwezigon Pagoda (the later
design of Myanmar stupa built of sandstones,
Kyansittha Umin (a tunnel with an attractive
paintings), Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi Temple with
an ancient mural painting of Jataka scenes:
Htilominlo Temple, famous for its plaster
carvings and Shwegugyi Temple with fine stucco
carvings. Overnight stay in Bagan.
Day 7: Bagan - Yangon (Meals:
B/L)
After breakfast in the morning, transfer to
Nyaung Oo Airport for flight to Yangon and
afternoon sightseeing tour of Yangon featuring
Kaba Aye (World Peace) Pagoda, Maha Pasana
Guha cave (where Sixth World Buddhist Synod
was held), Buddhist Art Museum and Mailamu
Pagoda. In the evening, observe tour of Yangon
featuring Shwedagon Pagoda, famous for its
religious significance. Overnight stay at
hotel in Yangon.
Day-8 Yangon City Departure (Meals:
B/L)
Leisure in the morning at hotel and transfer
to Yangon International Airport for your
onward departure flight.
