SONG BE GOLF RESORT
|
|
Song Be Golf Resort was
Vietnam’s first international championship golf
course and is widely regarded as one of the most
challenging layouts in the country. The golf
resort was built in 1994 out of the natural
landscape of fruit orchards and coconut palms.
In 1995 the Song Be golf course was officially
rated in accordance with the USGA/SGA
requirements. The 18 hole resort style layout
features 10 lakes. As Song Be translates as
"little river", a tributary of the Mekong, it is
unsurprising that water comes into play in eight
of the 18 holes. with a challenging tee-shot
between two lakes at the tenth. Mature tree
lined fairways with undulating greens add to the
overall golf course difficulty. |

Vietnam) to finish the construction of a full
18-holes later in the decade. The Dalat Palace
golf course was abandoned after WWII and revived
in 1959. In early 1966, Dalat palace hosted
professional golfers from around the world
including Billy Casper several months before he
beat Arnold Palmer to win the U.S. Open at San
Francisco's Olympic Club. The course was
abandoned again in 1975, after the reunification
of Vietnam, and initiated its second comeback in
1993 with a major renovation by a group of
American investors. In early 1994, Dalat emerged
once again as one of the up-and-coming golf

TWIN DOVE GOLF RESORT BINH DUONG
|
|
The golf course architect have
to do is to find and pick up the potential
rather than change local landscape at designer's
personal whim and will. That is to say, based on
golf course architect's experience and
enthusiasm, the best golf courses are produced
by utilizing the natural potential of the
landscape. Twin Doves Golf Club is planned as a
golfing paradise where nature is alive and
inspired because of the innate factors such as
hills, creeks and trees, which are in harmony
with the newly created lakes.
